Hi All,

Here is my latest. It is Markarian's Chain in the heart of the Virgo cluster of galaxies. M86 and M84 are the two bright elliptical galaxies (M84 is to the far right). I need to get more RGB frames to smooth out the color data, but all-in-all not a bad catch of galaxies for such as short total exposure time.

Specs:

AP 155 EDF f/7
STL-11000M LRGB 90:40:40:40min; all unbinned

Cheers,

Fantastic image Thomas!!! I love this type of shot... it just staggers the mind to think of what is really shown in that image. We live in a vast universe! Thanks for posting.

Tyler

Very nice! Images of that region always put things in perspective...how small we are in such a big universe.

Excellent job, Tom. It's smoothly processed with great detail in the dust lanes and the color is right on target. Even the tiny galaxies show detail.
