I want to do some autoguiding with my SBIG ST2000XM and Losmandy Titan mount with Gemini.
Do I need the Losmandy Optocoupler?
Thanks.

I believe so, I have to use it with with my ST2K and non-goto GM8, but I could be wrong......Even if you dont think you need it, it will protect your mounts electronics.

Pierre,
You may or may not need the optocoupler. Here is how you tell. If your Gemini is a newer one that uses DIN plugs (the large round ones with six internal pins) then you do not need an optocoupler. If your Gemini is older, and uses the other plugs, you do need the optocoupler. I am using my ST2000XM with a Gemini on a Losmandy G-11 without the optocoupler..... but my Gemini has the newer DIN Plugs. I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Tyler

PS - Scott at Losmandy is very helpful with such questions. A call to him may reassure you of my assessment of the facts. smile
