The Rosette in H-Alpha with tiny scope

I couldn't afford a bigger chip, so I did the next best thing and got a smaller scope. Now I can image some of the big objects and fit them on my small chip SXV-H9. The scope I just got is the FS-60C. I didn't feel like buying the high price Tak focal reducer, so I tried some of the ones I had on hand. The TV-85 did not come to focus with my camera and filter wheel, not enough in focus. So I rigged up a Meade 6.3 focal reducer and it seems to work just fine.

Here is NGC2244 shot in H-Alpha with the above combo. 9 shots, each 10 minutes long with a Schuler H-Alpha filter.

Very nice and good on you for working around the barriers in setting up your gear!

Beautiful Ralph! It looks like that setup will yield some nice results.

Ralph,
Very nice. That rig is nothing to apologize for!

Smart guy! There are plenty of Rosette-sized targets out there and, of course, guiding at that focal length is a breeze.
Your image is a little dark on my monitor, but the stars look sharp to the corners so it looks like you got focal reducer spacing correct.
You have a great start on a widefield gallery.

That is a nice shot and nicely framed. If you don't mind my asking, what distance do you have from the rear outside edge of the focal reducer to the front outside edge of the SXV-H9. I may try a similar combination.
Thanks

You really should be more cautious with your wording. The FS-60C doesn't know that it's a tiny scope.
Thanks
