...out of New York? Just wondering if they are reputable & honest - because they are listing an INCREDIBLE price on the Canon 20D on their site. Just wondered if anyone had any input before I give them my C.C. #.

Thanks,

-Kevin

Kevin,
If you Google TCS Camera... you will see the words SCAM and FRAUD used quite often. Problems with numerous BBB complaints and just about all negative info concerning them and their business practices. I have had no dealings with them... but what from what I have read... stay away. You can read it all for yourself. Not pretty.

Be carefull, these internet stores only sel the camera, nothing else, you need to buy all the other parts like cables, card, charger etc.... I bought a cheap canon 10D on the internet and end up buying all the other (missing)parts seperately, and I end up spending more $$$ for the same camera with all the parts in the camera store around the corner ! So be carefull, ask questions and check the sellers feedback!

I don't know that name in particular--But my experience in general is that if they ship it in a day or two at the specified price--you will be lucky. And if they do not, they won't, and never intended to ship it.

It seems that the lowest prices on these things are scams. The company gets you to contact them, and then offers you a bunch of other things. (A battery and charger for $99, when you could buy it for $29, a memory card for $390 when you could get one for $99). If you buy the other things, you get your camera. If you don't, sorry it is out of stock. And will be for two weeks. Until two weeks are up, then it is a month, and more.....

In short. You may get lucky. And it might be worth a try. Just be sure to specify what you want and if you do not get it, tell your credit card company to stop payment. And monitor them closely. Or, avoid the hassle and call a reputable dealer.

In general on a "set price" item (which most of the cameras and scopes and such are), you are pretty well stuck with the set price.

Hey, contact Anacortes or one of the other Astromart sponsors, and see what their price is. They should have some in stock eventually.
