This is my first attempt at imaging Mars. I tried both RGB and IR. The seeing was fairly soft (maybe 6 out of 10), but it was interesting to see the added detail captured in the IR image. I've a long way to go to catch up with the rest of you guys, but it sure is fun trying :-).

Details: 500 frames each, 18" Starmaster, TuCam Pro, Baader IR bandpass.

Very nice first effort with careful processing. Looking forward to seeing more of your images - the 18" Starmaster has a very impressive pedigree on this forum! wink

clear skies,

For a first try that is very impressive indeed. You'll improve very fast with each session as you work out the kinks.
