Hi all!

I am pleased to present my Solar granulation shot I did with the C11-SGT XLT telescope in Prague, Czech Republic.

http://www.bcsatellite.net/bao/granul29julqe.jpg
(~1.5 Mb JPEG)

The angular size of the granules is 1 to 1.5 arcsec, while the dark channels are approximately 0.1 to 0.3 arcsec.

Techniques used were:
Registax4: Aligning, Selecting Best Frames, Optimizing, Stacking, Wavelets
MaximDL: Lucy-Richardson Deconvolution, Automatical Background Flattening
Michael Vinther's Image Analyzer: Wien filter Resize
QE Labs SuperResolution 0.1.0.550 Beta: Resolution Enhance

I think this is a really good result for an amateur instrument, especially when we are doing cost per resolution comparison:

Thanks for looking!

Outstanding!! image, the Hi-Res granulation in your image reminds me of a close up image of a carpet.

Maxim,

That is incredible! I would so love to see a large sunspot in there.
