Hi all, here are two recent Jupiter images from the last two nights, in good seeing. The seeing was better for the second image (Oct 20).

Simply amazing shots...the clarity on the moon's transit is just as crisp as can be. Excellent work.

Bird, What's even more impressive about this amazing Jupiter is how late in the season it was taken. Excellent work and thanks for posting it.

Steve

Hi all, sorry for the very late reply...

The scope is a 14.5" f/5 newtonian with a Royce conical primary and Antares 4" secondary. I use a TV 5x powermate (working at 7.5x) and a firewire camera from PGR.

You can see some pics on my website

Look under the "images of new 16" scope" section, I don't have the 16" mirror as yet, but the scope has been designed to take it when it's ready.

regards, Anthony
