Saturn with TEC 8" APO on 4-16-08 / Toucam

Hello,

This is my first image of Saturn this year. Seeing was the best I have seen lately. Equipment used was:

TEC 200 f/9
AP1200GTO
Toucam 840 Pro
AP Barcon

Mark Clegg
Pittsboro, N.C.

Mark, spectacular Saturn! The rings are open (-9 1/2) degrees, their maximum is just 2 weeks away at (-9.96), so keep shooting because this is as good as it will get for almost 20 years, at least for us northerners. Cheers, Dan grin

that is a great result for sure!
I think I might have missed it: did you use a barlow or eye-piece projection for photography?

Mark, excellent Saturn! With your optics, you could easily use a 2.5-3.0x barlow to boost the image size. Thanks for posting
