In anticipation of our upcoming March 13 air date, we've put together a little press release with a couple of photos taken on the date the segment was filmed. Have fun and spread the word!

Hi Marj,

I just posted a message on sci.astro.amateur ... let's see how long the ensuing thread will be this time. grin

Congrats on the recognition and exposure!

Anthony.

I enjoyed the segment, of course it was way too short for my taste. The AP history photos were neat. The products looked great and it was quite fun to see familiar names in motion and with voices. Mike Clemens

Nice piece, very enjoyable. Did John Ratzenberger actually touch the objective during his little bug stint routine at the end?

Great show, happy to see the insides of the AP factory!

I was impressed when Roland said it takes him 5 hours to assemble a (160) lens! Wow! What takes the time?

I loved seeing Roland and Marj and their facility, and lusted after the mounts and the 160 they were showing. In fact, it may have rekindled my dormant desire to move away from big reflectors and over to refractor (or, in my dreams, AP Mak-Cass)-based imaging.

But God - how TV usually decides to totally dumb down whatever they are talking about is depressing. Ours is a country in a growing intellectual crisis.

Be that as it may, I want either an AP 160 or a 10" Mak-Cass, and preferably, I'd like one soon. grin Oh yeah - I'll take a nice 1200 mount too!

Congrats Marj & Roland, it was a wonderful show... too bad it was short. Actually, much shorter than what we would have expected... (after all, if you ask us, we would have dedicated the WHOLE show to AP... wink )
