I was trying to see past ads for Astro-Physics 105 travelers.

I tried A-P, Astro-Physics, Traveler,  Traveler 105, A-P Traveler 105, Astro-Physics Traveler 105, etc, etc in all types of formats and including " " just to specify the important issue. Varied the search dates from months to year, years, decades, etc. Tried all forms of the different variables allowed in the inquiry and the smallest return was I believe 43 pages. Always was given ads that had nothing to do with the search.

I'm unhappy with the new format because I can't see the columns I need in the classified section, including especially the *price*...  No matter what I do I can't seem to get the price to appear.  The ads are taking up too much space on both sides...  Yuck.  Please go back to the old format.

Set them the way you like em in

Especially when I'm looking for something in particular, I check ads at least once daily, and usually several times per day.  In the old format, clicking on an ad slightly dulled its font color, so I could tell where I left off by the last ad I clicked, and quickly review the ads that had been posted since then.  Now there's no mark left when I click on an ad, so I have no idea where I left off.  Can't imagine why you felt it necessary to remove that particular bit of functionality, but it matters (at least to me), so for that reason as well as the others in this thread, please put it back as it was, or don't whine when people go elsewhere. - Rick Gering

Set them as we like them ... WHERE?

Maybe they are in "Your Account" page, but doing as you suggested, I checked "MY Account" page, and there isn't anything new about changing back these "SETTINGS" as I would like to have them. Perhaps that is something still in the works for this new page design, and this was just a premature release, certainly not one ready for prime time, in its present form.

Is there a Settings Preference link somewhere? Can I choose which columns I really need to "quickly and easily" view? The column borders are dead space - can't even adjust their width nor shrink their excessively huge size, total waste within the page.

Once logged in, we seem to now have lost the old PRICE column, which was far more important than the NEW seller's  "RATINGS" column.
I only care about that info, if I have seen the asking price and am prepared to buy. Why would the designer have done that?

The left & right sides have been increased by an enormous amount. Are you trying to please the corporate sponsors, or just looking after, respectfully,  the interests of the "severely vision impaired" members - whom the page script size won't help, if they can't see through a telescope very easily,  anyway.

Besides, have pity on those who have small laptops,  never mind Smart Phones, trying to navigate these pages with far too much ad space, and little enough for the information in posts we subscribed for, in the first place. There is a tremendous amount of wasted column space, as well as the page bottom. The original was perfect, and the new version needs a serious design rethink.

How many Beta Testers were there for this ... "web  design"? Next time get at least two.

As a business case, we can all, I'm sure, appreciate the attempted,  well intentioned efforts at improvements, but with little if any competition to AstroMart, was the move from the CLASSIC page really well founded?

Hoping for major web page design repairs ...

the former format was great.  Easy to use and see what was what...this new format, needs a lot of work.  Why not keep the old version?  If it wasnt, broke why did you "fix" it.

Go to "My Account". Under the first section "General", select "Display settings". Under "Classifieds", you'll see "Display the following columns in the classified list:" with a bunch of check boxes, select "Price", and any other you'd like. Then, at the bottom of the page, click on "Save" to save your changes.

BTW, I'm not a big fan of the new format. I think it's because of the size of the font. It used to be smaller. Perhaps some control over that? Being a web developer for 25 years (yes, back when it was new! and improved! with more whitening power! wink), I realize how much work goes into these things, so it's not a big deal for me.

The new format is bad, the content in the center is so skinny
you cannot see the entire contents like you should.

The margins, left and the ads, right need to be resized slimmer.

Come on Astromart, I for one am paying for the right
to use the site.

Hi....I am working my way through the new version, and have a few suggestions. As a survivor of the head of a large program "new web presence" re-design, I understand how tough it is at first.

1. If I ask for Classified Ads to include both sold and found, they are listed, but not highlighted on the listing. That is, I can't look at a page of results and see which were sold. I must click on an individual ad to see its status.  I do a lot of research on pricing for before I list a piece, and could easily see which ones were sold and for how much in the original version.  I cannot do that in this newer version.

1.a Also, the Global request button under preferences to display sold and found is not functional. I have to go to the classified listing and change the status there, then relist.

2. There seems to be an issue between the version I can see on my laptop, and the version on my smaller mobile tablet. On the tablet, the listing of the classifieds has all the columns that I ask for, but the two outer fields (menus on the left and sponsors on the right) are so large that the center column cannot handle the data columns. I have to scroll the center classified field left and right to see all of the information.  I think this is what a previous poster noted about not being able to see everything at once in the classified fields.
My suggestion is to redesign the classified ads results without the sponsors on the right, and  open up that much more usable space.  We all  know the sponsors, and can get to them many other ways.

3. I also get the "Aw SNAP" crash, at least on the mobile tablet if I ask to look at an individual ad.  But not all the time.

4. I used the mobile version at a moment's notice (bus, waiting for  a coffee, etc) because I could scan for new ads with all available information quickly. That allowed me to buy some really good deals because I could respond within moments of new posting sometimes.  Because the newer version has the display problems with field width on mobiles, I must scroll both left/right  and up/down at the same time. I can do that, but much more cumbersome and aggravating than the previous version. Fixable.

Thanks for listening.

The new format is a total disaster for me.

My Chrome browser requests a page whose size exceeds the server's capacity, and I have no idea what to do to fix the problem.
