Well, I got the chance to give the new trailer a shake down cruise to Fossil Falls near Death Valley, California this weekend.
The scope is rolled assembled into the trailer and secured to the floor and a wall with tie-downs.
There is a built in folding table that I made as a desk for the laptop and charts that has red lighting for night use. Plus of course white lighting for normal use as well as 12v and 115v AC for running things.
Here is a picture of the inside of the trailer with the desk showing.
Everything worked quite well and the scope traveled without any problems.

Here is a shot of the whole setup and Fossil Falls with the mountains in the background.
Viewing was good on Friday, but Saturday the seeing was poor an high winds made observing impossible. Had a good night Friday though with many grand views, including the Comet.

Hi Jim,
Yes the skies were very dark, the Sky Quality Meter showed 21.64 to 21.70 at Zenith. This is about limiting mag 7.5 or better. Seems to be a very good place, but wind is a factor on the desert.
Thanks, the trailer is pretty comfortable. smile

Floyd,
The trailer is very nice and I like the way you configured the interior. BTW what are the actual dimensions of the trailer? I also found the scenery in your photo's very beautiful. Although I now live in Western Oregon I grew up in Eastern Montana and really miss the large vista like skies and wide open country. Where did the pick nick table come from? All I could see was the one and it appears to large for you to have transported it. The area around you does not look like a camping area and as I say I could not see any other tables that would indicate so.

The trailer looks great Floyd! As does the site.
I wish I could have made it up there.
Next time for sure...
