This is a popular target this time of year - so here it is again. This image is a combination of OSC and H-Alpha on the old C8. Yes, the C8 still does some imaging for me if you can believe that. Image and exposure details are here:

Scope - C8 @f/6.3 (standard schmidt reducer corrector at proper spacing)
Mount - G11/Gemini

Great shot Jim!
Hey, nothing wrong with that C8! (actually, I'll be looking for one soon, just for those small & bright planetaries...)

Sweet detail captured, my friend... well done!

Thanks for sharing! 8)

That really looks great Jim! That trusty C8 has produced many wonderful images for you.

Very nice looking image. Any more info on your H-alpha? I am not sure what an "EOS clip" is - how narrow? And some shows up in green? (I am a new owner of a 50D, but as yet haven't plugged it into a scope for imaging. But I am looking at many of your posts for hints into that.)

Charlie

And C8's are still great.

Nice image, C8 with reducer did well. Nice colors and details, just think what it would have taken to get such fine results with film. Some good imaging can be had with such equipment without breaking the Bank.
