Hi all. I had two clear nights over the weekend and imaged all night both nights. Here is the first image from the weekend effort, cropped and reduced. It is NGC281, the Pacman Nebula. I am pretty pleased withn the result. Let me know what you think.
Cheers,
Tyler

Hi Tyler, I like this pac-man a lot. I particularly like the natural star colors along with the rich Ha nebulosity. Well done!

Tyler,

What do I think? What do I think?!? I think it looks great! Nice and crisp, yet restrained enough so as not to look oversharpened.

Thanks for the nice comments. I had a difficult time adding the Ha to the red channel, but I think I found the right balance. I appreciate those who took time to comment.
Cheers,
Tyler

Hi all. While admiring all the versions of the Pacman that have been posted since I did my image, I decided to go back and try to tease out more detail in the dim areas of the nebula. I was amazed to see how much data I had failed to bring out. I am interested in finding out whether you folks like this version better than the first, or have I pushed too hard. Honest comments are really appreciated. Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Tyler
