Hi all:
Well, it's NGC 2023 and that horsey thingy too.
I took this data of the Horsehead last February. Two days ago I tried reprocessing using some of the techniques I have learned from Ron Wodaski's new book (with Russell Croman). I really wanted to bring out the reflection nebula NGC 2023. I am pleased with the improvement over last year's processing. I think I also handled the noise resulting from way too little imaging time better in this go.
I see however that I have over-saturated some of the emission nebula over the horse's nose. There are so many trade offs!
Any comments would be appreciated!
TEC APO 140, G-11, SXV-H9, STV, AstroDon Filters, FLI wheel
(Ha+L)(Ha+R) G B
Only 25,15,15,15,90 minute exposure times.
