Here is a shot of my roll off roof observatory which is a converted garden tool shed.

Imaging setup is RCOS 12.5 inch, Tak NJP on an Mountain Instruments MI8 pier and an SBig 2000XM and a Dell P4 laptop. Tracking autoguiding errors are well under 1 pixel and sometimes I get it down to about .2 or less. Not 100% polar aligned either.

So the NJP is sweet indeed.

I've imaged a number of objects over the last few weeks where we've had a few very clear nights finally. Once I master the processing I'll post one or two.

Greg.

Hi Greg,

If you are anything like me, you'll start posting your images before you "master" the processing. 8) Processing seems to be a continuous learning cycle.

Nice observatory!

Wonderful setup Greg! 8)
Looking forward to seeing your shots...

As a side note, I'll be starting on the REBUILD of my observatory soon, which should be something very close to what you got... wink
Still fixing the house from last year's hurricane...

Clear skies, and keep those shots coming! wink

Looks great Greg! I know how you feel about posting your images. I have been imaging a couple years now and I still think I have a lot to learn about processing. cwy

Great job Greg. What exactly did you convert? Is it a metal, PVC, or wood shed? I was thinking of something that looks like what you have.

I have started on one as well. I am doing it in stages with a permanent pier and temp enclosure going in first. The pier is on the way, and I should have the footing in a couple weeks.
