Hello,

I took 9 AVI's of Janssen on Oct 30th from Shalimar, Florida. I was working at f/30 and needed quite a few shots to cover the whole area well. I put together this mosaic from those AVI's. I used RegiStax and about 1,900 frames per AVI.

Meade 12 inch LX200GPS, Televue 3x barlow, DMK 21F04 CCD camera. Seeing was excellent. One of the best nights in a long time.

Great shot Kirk!
I surely hope you won't mind if i play a bit with it, resized, adjusted levels & contrast... lots of detail in your image!

Thanks for sharing!

Hi Kirk,

Amazing 8O , that has got be the most detailed Janssen image ever taken from Earth, if there is one better I would like to see it.
I know that took a lot of work and thanks for doing it.
