Hi all -

Yesterday officially made our current streak of sunless days (so many I've lost count) the longest in Buffalo since 1921. I thought i would celebrate by posting this template for my mosaic in progress.

This sketch is composed of single video frames surrounding the processed frames containing Plato and the Alpine Valley. I made this as a reference to consult as I process the 28 streams that will be used for the final image. It is shown less than half original size.

Should take a while to complete - but hey, it's a long winter! 8)

cheers -
Alan

Hi Alan,
What a Fantastic Mosiac.
Take your time. It is going to be worth the wait!

Hi Alan,

Great! job, I look forward to seeing the finished product.
I just noticed that your August 2005 Plato and my August 2005 Plato are very close to the same lighting conditions, we must have taken them close to the same time.

Thanks,

Wes Higgins

That is going to be magnificant! It almost looks like Apollo images! Can't wait to see the final product.

Amazing detail in your mosaic Alan! 8O So many craterlets in Plato, the most I've ever seen in a 10" scope and the rill showing in Vallis Alpes! Your processing is always impeccable!!
