Hi all. Here is my first effort at "real" lunar imaging for quite some time. The skies in Utah wobble nearly all the time, but I decided to break out the Tak CN-212 and go for it. Here is the result. This is a MAP (29 points)image combined from 2000 individual tif files and processed using Registax 4 and Photoshop CS. The image was shot at F/25, using a Lumenera Infinity 2-1 camera at 1280x1024 resolution.

Let me know what you think. I always have a hard time deciding which monitor tom use for my finishing, and it looks very different on my two monitors. Oh well!
Cheers,
Tyler

Hi Tyler,

excellent, impressive level of details, I especially like the rendering of the rilles and cracks inside Petavius.
The processing looks very natural on my LCD display. This is "real" lunar imaging for sure smile

Best wishes,
Oliver

Thanks for the nice comments, and thanks for the link James. I bought a laser collimator and have been using it for rough collimation, then I go to the star test for final adjustments. My biggest problem is that the skies always wobble so badly here in Utah that it is often futile to go for any magnification. On very rare stable occasions (not this image), the Takahashi really shows its stuff.
